Can you be frivolous and authoritative? Georgie Tunny will soon know

Some authors celebrate the publication of their first book with champagne, others with framed covers. Georgie Tunny has marked the release of her novel Over to You with a set of custom-made press-on nails.
They feature a microphone, blazer, press pass, lipstick and a coffee to represent the themes of her novel, set in the breakneck world of breakfast television, where Tunny herself cut her teeth as a journalist. “Aren’t they insane?” she smiles. “A girlfriend of mine had them done for the ARIAs and I was like, ‘I need this.’ I won’t be able to type but they are so fun.”
