When New-York-listed Hims and Hers splashed $1.6 billion to acquire Eucalyptus – known for medical weight-loss services that prescribe GLP-1s, similar to Ozempic and Mounjaro, and a prescription skincare service – it pushed founder Tim Doyle 10 places up the Young Rich List. It also made millionaires of more than 100 Eucalyptus employees.
My lunch guest, Eucalyptus growth manager Jae Lubberink, was not one of them. Not your typical tech start-up guy, Lubberink is a politics, philosophy and economics graduate hired by Doyle last year.
