One night in December, Abbie Pruitt went Christmas shopping for her children. She didn’t want to raise their suspicions, so she opened the location-sharing app her family uses and adjusted the settings so her precise geolocation wouldn’t be visible to anyone.
Not five minutes later, she got a call from her daughter, Kylie, demanding to know where she was and why her location wasn’t visible on the Life360 app.
