Catharine Lumby is already seated when I arrive for lunch, laughing gaily with the waiter in the corner of Woollahra’s Bistro Moncur.
She has been here often and is soon regaling me with tales of journalism’s long lunch days. This was a favourite haunt, and it pays homage to that heritage in a striking black and white wall mural drawn by former Australian Financial Review cartoonist Michael Fitzjames.
