“Golden” From ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Gets Oscar Nomination For Best Original Song

The nominations have been announced for the 2026 Academy Awards, and the category of Best Original Song features a track that will be very familiar to Genius readers. “Golden,” performed by the fictional girl group HUNTR/X in the Netflix film KPop Demon Hunters, is among the five contenders. These five tunes were culled down from a 15-song shortlist released back in December. Among the shortlisted songs to not gain proper nominations are “Dream as One,” Miley Cyrus’s contribution to Avatar: Fire and Ash, and “Drive,” Ed Sheeran’s tune for F1.
