Three for the Weekend: Alternative Art

The Porta World Music Festival is back this weekend, with two concerts featuring two artists: Les Itinérantes and JMO. The concerts take place at the Cēsis Concert Hall on Friday and Music House Daile (not to be confused with Dailes Theater) in Rīga on Saturday.

The performances begin at 18:00 on both days.

Alternative Music Minifest

Tallinas Street Quarter is back with another autumn minifestival, with shoegaze/dreampop band Tribes of the City and more lyrical Nesen on stage. 

The mini festival takes place at the cultural venue Angārs (Tallinas Street 10, Riga), on Saturday, November 2, 20:00.

Exhibition "Symbiosis" opening

In August this year, several artists gathered in Kazdanga for a Kefirsstudio-curated plein air workshop "Symbiosis", living for 5 days in the middle of meadows and forests to create art in an unusual environment.

This exhibition will showcase the artworks created during the plein-air workshop, a video recollection of the experience, as well as sound performances.

The exhibition opening takes place Saturday, November 2, at 17:00 at PER FORM, Vagonu Street 21, Rīga. Talks and music are promised.
