Actor-politician Vijay’s transition from cinema to politics continues to draw reactions from the film industry. Congratulating the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister on his Assembly election win and assumption of office, Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar wished him strength to deliver good governance.

Speaking after the first-look launch of his upcoming film Bail, produced by KVN Productions — the banner behind Vijay’s final film Jana NayaganShiva Rajkumar conveyed his best wishes.

Speaking at the event alongside music composer B Ajaneesh Loknath and K. Venkat Narayana of KVN Productions, Shiva Rajkumar said he was happy to see Vijay achieve the goal he had been working towards. “I was always wishing well for him. Whatever he was working towards, he has achieved it today and he has become the Chief Minister,” he said.

Extending his wishes further, the actor added, “All the best, Vijay sir. God bless you. Maintain goodwill like this, and may God give you the strength to run a good government.”

The remarks were made during B Ajaneesh Loknath Live in Bengaluru, a concert headlined by the composer. The Bhairathi Ranagal actor has been a vocal supporter of Vijay since the early days of his political campaign, often praising the Leo actor for entering politics and speaking positively about the ambitions he outlined during his campaign trail.

Vijay marked a historic political debut in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections as his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), emerged as the single-largest force and went on to form the government with ally support. The actor-turned-politician was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on May 10, completing a rapid transition from cinema to the state’s top political post.
