Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela’s upcoming romantic musical, directed by Anurag Basu, has been pushed to April 30, 2027. The film, which was earlier expected to release in December 2025, will now arrive in theatres next year.

The makers announced the new release date on October 15, while keeping the film’s title under wraps.

Sharing a picture of Kartik and Sreeleela from the sets, the makers announced the date on social media. The image was the same one previously used to introduce the project.

The announcement prompted a response from fans, many of whom expressed relief at finally having a release date. Some also urged the makers to reveal the film’s title.

The film marks the first collaboration between Kartik and Sreeleela, with Basu directing the romantic musical. Backed by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, the project features music composed by Pritam.

The new release date comes after the film’s earlier schedule was pushed back, with speculation surrounding its production timeline. Basu had previously said that shooting was progressing as planned and that the team was working towards bringing the film to audiences.

“We are very much on schedule, and the shoot is progressing well. It’s a film we believe in deeply, and we are bringing it to audiences this year as intended,” the filmmaker had said in an earlier statement.

Basu had also dismissed reports suggesting that most of the film had already been shot. In an interview with Variety India, he said filming had not crossed 45 days at the time and that the shoot had only recently begun.

The project was first announced in February 2025 through a promotional video featuring Kartik and Sreeleela. It was initially scheduled to release in December 2025 before being postponed. The film is now set to arrive in cinemas on April 30, 2027.
