Google says India largest market for AI studio, kickstarts hiring to grow local presence
Google is now hiring engineers for its AI Studio in India. The company says that India is the largest market for users of Google AI Studio, and now it wants Indian talent to help make it better.

At a time when the tech industry is facing uncertainty over the future with AI, many companies, be it Amazon, Meta, Oracle are conducting mass layoffs. Google, on the other hand, is planning to hire workers in India. Yes, hire workers in India. Google AI Studio’s Logan Kilpatrick announced that the company was going to establish a dedicated team in India. And you can join this team.
On X, Logan shared a post revealing Google’s plans. He stated that Google AI Studio was creating a new DevX team in India. He wrote, “We are hiring for our DevX team to kick start our India presence.”
Do note that according to Logan, India is the “largest market” for those who use Google’s AI Studio. He also revealed that he planned to visit India later this year.

What is Google AI Studio?
Google AI Studio is a browser-based developer tool that lets you prototype and experiment with Google's Gemini models. You can think of it as a playground for building AI-powered apps without needing to set up a full development environment.
Once you have created something that you want to use, you can generate a Gemini API key that allows you to use the creation right into your project.
How to apply for Google AI Studio team in India?
In the same post, Logan Kilpatrick explained that he was looking for people who wanted to help make Google Gemini easier to work with for tech developers. And the application process seems to be quite simple.
The Google AI Studio lead said that those interested can shoot their shot by just dropping a text or sending an email. He explained, “If you want to help builders get the most out of Gemini in India, please ping me via DM or email.”
Though Logan did not specify the criteria for selection, or the number of roles available.
