The makers of Toaster, starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra, have unveiled its trailer. It teases a wildly unusual story where a simple household item turns into the centre of chaos.

Premiering directly on Netflix on April 15, the film promises a mix of humour, drama and unpredictability, all rooted in a very relatable middle-class setup.

At the heart of the story is a man obsessed with saving money, played by Rajkummar Rao, whose penny-pinching ways make life difficult for his wife.

His habit of accounting for every rupee soon becomes more than just an annoyance, especially when a seemingly harmless purchase -- a toaster meant as a wedding gift -- sets off a bizarre chain reaction.

What follows is an unexpected frenzy, with people across the city chasing after the object, hinting at something far more unusual than it appears.

Directed by Vivek Das Chaudhary and produced by Patralekhaa under Kampa Film, the film features a strong supporting cast including Archana Puran Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Farah Khan, Upendra Limaye, Vinod Rawat, Jitendra Joshi and Seema Pahwa.

With its quirky story and unique concept, Toaster promises to be a fun and entertaining watch this April.
