Amid the ongoing buzz, filmmaker-actor Anurag Kashyap has spoken about Ranveer’s commitment to his craft, highlighting that such dedication is not new for the actor.

Kashyap highlighted that Ranveer’s commitment has been evident since the start of his career, recalling a notable incident during the filming of Lootera.

Speaking in an interview with Miss Malini, Kashyap said, "We hear stories about Dhurandhar and how Ranveer and Arjun Rampal injured each other during shoots, which shows their dedication. But during Lootera, Ranveer went to great lengths to capture authenticity. In the climax, where his character is shot, he secretly clipped himself on the stomach to feel the pain. This led to him being taken to hospital. Despite the discomfort, he did not inform anyone and continued working until he was unable to move."

Kashyap, who co-produced Lootera and wrote its dialogues, emphasised that while the film did not achieve the box office success of Dhurandhar, Ranveer’s conviction remained unwavering.

In addition to his praise for Ranveer, Kashyap is preparing for his next acting project. He will feature in Dacoit, alongside Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur. The film is scheduled for release on April 10.
