Mercedes-AMG G 63 Off-road Pro launched at Rs 3.80 crore

The G 63 now comes with some special off-road enhancements

One of the most desired fast luxury SUVs in the market – the Mercedes-AMG G 63 now comes with a special edition called the Off-road Pro. Like the name denotes, this adds certain off-road visual elements to the SUV and is priced at Rs 3.80 crore (ex-showroom).

The G 63 Off-Road Pro comes with AMG Active Ride Control suspension with active roll stabilisation along with active balance control that can be adjusted in three stages. It also gets Traction Pro mode, including Rock and Sand modes. Mercedes says that this can control braking torque individually at each wheel and has seven stage locking.

It gets a roof rack with aluminium panels and a removable rear ladder, along with exclusive 20-inch AMG alloys in matte black. Inside the SUV features the standard set of equipment with MBUX OS and dedicated off-road screens that have vital data readouts.

This continues to be powered by the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that makes 585bhp and 850Nm of torque. In addition it is aided by a 22bhp 48V hybrid system. The AWD system is standard, and the G 63 can sprint from nought to 100kmph in 4.4 seconds.

Compared to the standard G 63, the Off-road Pro demands a premium of Rs 6 lakh and is available in limited numbers.
