Cocktail 2 box office prediction: Pre-sales lower than Tere Ishk Mein, Thamma

Director Homi Adajania's Cocktail 2 is set for a moderate opening at the box office, with the film earning over Rs 3 crore ahead of its June 19 release. Trade estimates suggest the film's pre-release collection is lower than the advance earnings of Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna's last two releases, Tere Ishk Mein and Thamma, respectively. The film has also recorded the second-lowest advance bookings after Shahid Kapoor's last theatrical release, O'Romeo.
Shahid's last release, O'Romeo, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, earned Rs 3.05 crore gross and Rs 2.58 crore net approx in India on its first day, as reported by Sacnilk. Meanwhile, Cocktail 2 has so far grossed Rs 3.16 crore with net earnings of Rs 2.68 crore approx, the report mentioned.
Kriti's love story with Dhanush, Tere Ishk Mein, her last 2025 release, earned Rs 5.65 crore gross and Rs 4.79 crore net approx in its advance earnings. Rashmika's 2025 Hindi horror comedy, Thamma grossed Rs 6.37 crore in its advance bookings and Rs 5.40 crore net approx.

Interestingly, the advance booking of Cocktail 2 is lesser than other previous releases by Shahid, O'Romeo being an exception. While these are early estimates, the film's actual fate can only be judged after the first day of collection.
