Love & War: Ranbir's bruised arm, vintage avatar in 1st look from Bhansali film

The makers of Love & War have unveiled Ranbir Kapoor's first-look poster from the film. The retro image, complete with a bruised arm, sets up the film's world ahead of its 2027 release.

Ranbir Kapoor’s first look from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War is out. The makers shared the poster on social media on Thursday, September 24, giving a glimpse of the actor’s character ahead of the film’s release next year.

In the poster, Ranbir is seen sitting in the driver’s seat of a vintage turquoise convertible. He sports slicked-back hair, a pencil moustache and round sunglasses, while wearing a light-coloured knit polo shirt. His calm appearance contrasts with his bruised and bloodied left arm resting outside the car.

The poster has a distinctly retro setting, with vintage architecture and cars in the background. The poster also confirms the film’s release date.

Sharing the poster, the makers wrote, “Woh rutba, woh raub, woh junoon!” They also announced that Love & War will release in theatres on January 21, 2027.

RANBIR, ALIA AND VICKY KAUSHAL LEAD LOVE & WAR

Love & War stars Ranbir Kapoor alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The film marks Ranbir’s reunion with Bhansali after Saawariya (2007), which was the actor’s debut film. Bhansali is directing and producing the project.

The film is scheduled to release worldwide in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on January 21, 2027. Netflix is listed as the streaming partner, while IMAX is among the film’s partners.

The first look comes as the makers begin introducing the world of Love & War ahead of its theatrical release.
