Advance bookings for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, starring Tom Holland as the friendly neighbourhood superhero, have officially opened in India ahead of the film's July 30 theatrical release. However, despite the early bookings, the film will not be available in IMAX, a decision that has left many fans disappointed.

Sony Pictures Entertainment India also confirmed that Spider-Man: Brand New Day will arrive in Indian cinemas on July 30, 2026, a day ahead of its previously announced international release date.

Advance bookings have opened across several premium large-format screens, including PLF, BigPix, ScreenX, ICE, 4DX and MX4D, in both 2D and 3D. Notably, IMAX is missing from the list of supported formats, making it the first Tom Holland-led Spider-Man film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to skip the premium format in India.

All about Spider-Man: Brand New Day

The latest instalment sees Holland reprise his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man alongside Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds. The film will release in six languages across India – English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks his third Marvel project after Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Wonder Man.

The ensemble cast also includes Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, Michael Mando returning as Scorpion, Jon Bernthal reprising Frank Castle/The Punisher, along with Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman, Liza Colón-Zayas and Marvin Jones III as Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone. While Marvel has not officially revealed Sink's role, industry reports have linked her to the character of Jean Grey.

The film also marks the first Spider-Man instalment in the MCU not to be directed by Jon Watts, who helmed Holland's previous trilogy.
