Vijay pays respect to late producer RB Choudary, offers condolences to his son Jiiva
Amid his hectic schedule after winning the Tamil Nadu polls, Vijay took out time on Wednesday to visit Nanban co-star Jiiva, who lost his father, producer RB Choudary.

Actor-turned-politician Vijay visited Jiiva’s house on May 6 to offer his condolences following the death of the latter's father, veteran producer RB Choudary. The late producer died in a tragic road accident the day before.
Vijay's visit comes shortly after his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), registered a massive win in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections on May 4. He arrived at Choudary’s Chennai residence where the late producer's mortal remains have been kept for final respects.
Choudary, a prominent name in the South Indian film industry, died after a fatal accident in Beawar, Rajasthan.

According to ANI, Choudary was returning from Lilamba village after attending a family wedding on Tuesday (May 5) afternoon when his car crashed into a roadside wall after cattle strayed onto the road. He was declared dead on the spot.
Choudary’s body was kept at his Mylapore residence till 3 pm on May 6, allowing friends, family and members of the film fraternity to pay homage.
Vijay shared a close professional association with Choudary’s family. He had worked with his son, actor Jiiva, in the film Nanban, the Tamil remake of 3 Idiots.
Notably, RB Choudary had also played a key role in Vijay’s early career by backing Poove Unakkaga, which was a breakthrough film for the actor.
Choudary is survived by his three sons – Suresh, Ramesh, and Jiiva.
