Hanuman Ansh powers into Rs 300-crore club worldwide despite Day 41 dip

Hanuman Ansh continues its remarkable box office run even as its collections show signs of slowing down in the sixth week. Written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the spiritual drama has now entered the Rs 300-crore club in worldwide gross collections after completing 41 days in theatres. The milestone comes despite the film recording a drop of over 27 per cent in its domestic nett collection on Wednesday.

According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Hanuman Ansh collected Rs 6 crore nett (gross minus taxes) across 9,203 shows in India on Day 41, its sixth Wednesday. This marks a 27.3 per cent decline from the Rs 8.25 crore nett it earned on Tuesday. With the latest day's collection, the film's total India nett collection has climbed to Rs 237.13 crore, while its India gross collection stands at around Rs 280 crore.

The film's overseas performance has also remained steady in its sixth week. After collecting Rs 2 crore each on Monday and Tuesday, Hanuman Ansh recorded an overseas gross of Rs 1.75 crore on Wednesday. The film's overseas gross now stands at Rs 20.25 crore.

Together, the domestic and overseas earnings have taken the film's worldwide gross collection to Rs 300.25 crore. The achievement is particularly notable considering the film's initial theatrical run was relatively slow before positive word of mouth helped it gain momentum and sustain its collections over subsequent weeks.

Hanuman Ansh week and day-wise box office collection

The film's run has gathered significant momentum in the later weeks. Hanuman Ansh collected Rs 1.08 crore nett in Week 1 and Rs 40 lakh in Week 2, before improving to Rs 10.40 crore in Week 3. The turnaround became more pronounced in Week 4, when the film earned Rs 61 crore. It followed that with Rs 90.25 crore in Week 5.

In the sixth week, the film continued to pull audiences to theatres. It earned Rs 10.50 crore on Friday, Rs 18.50 crore on Saturday and Rs 22.50 crore on Sunday. Collections then settled at Rs 8.25 crore each on Monday and Tuesday before dropping to Rs 6 crore on Wednesday.

Hanuman Ansh's Day 41 occupancy

The decline in collections was also reflected in the film's theatrical occupancy. Hanuman Ansh recorded an overall occupancy of 17.19 per cent on Wednesday, compared with 28.65 per cent on Tuesday.

The film opened Wednesday with 12.85 per cent occupancy in morning shows, down from Tuesday's 14.85 per cent. Afternoon occupancy stood at 15.92 per cent, compared with 27.31 per cent a day earlier. Evening shows recorded 19 per cent occupancy, while night shows registered the day's highest figure at 21 per cent.

Despite the midweek slowdown, Hanuman Ansh has already delivered a major box office turnaround. Its Rs 300.25-crore worldwide gross after 41 days underlines the film's sustained theatrical run, with its domestic nett collection now inching towards the Rs 250-crore mark.

Hanuman Ansh is a spiritual drama based on the life and teachings of Neem Karoli Baba, also known as Maharaj-Ji. The film traces his spiritual journey and devotion to Lord Hanuman, bringing to screen key episodes from the life of the revered spiritual figure.

Shobhinaw Satyaa plays Neem Karoli Baba, with Purnima Tiwari portraying his wife, Rambeti Sharma. The cast also includes Chandan Anand, Vihaan Shedge and Anil Rastogi. Written and directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the film is based on his book Divine Detour: That Changed My Life.
