Main Vaapas Aaunga gained momentum over its opening weekend, registering growth on its first Sunday after a modest start at the box office. The Imtiaz Ali directorial collected Rs 2.50 crore on Day 3, taking its total India nett collection to Rs 5.50 crore.

According to the latest figures from the trade website Sacnilk, Main Vaapas Aaunga collected Rs 2.50 crore on its third day of release. The Sunday earnings marked an improvement over the film's performance on its opening two days and came as it continued to run across 2,155 shows nationwide.

The film had opened with Rs 1.15 crore on Friday before registering growth on Saturday with a collection of Rs 1.85 crore. With Sunday's numbers, the film's total India gross collection now stands at Rs 6.60 crore, while its India nett collection has reached Rs 5.50 crore.

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Main Vaapas Aaunga revolves around a 95-year-old man who suffers a stroke while trying to return to Pakistan.

As he drifts between memory and reality, his grandson begins piecing together fragments of a pre-Partition past, uncovering a deeply personal story shaped by the consequences of borders and displacement.

The film brings together a notable ensemble cast including Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Vedang Raina and Sharvari.

It also marks another collaboration between Imtiaz Ali, composer AR Rahman and lyricist Irshad Kamil, the trio behind acclaimed films such as Rockstar, Tamasha and Amar Singh Chamkila.
