Shreya Ghoshal closed Sahitya AajTak 2024 with an enthralling performance. The singer delivered a musical evening for the audience, singing some of her most popular songs. From Teri Ore from Singh Is Kinng to O Saathi Re from Omkara, she captivated everyone with her chartbusters.
The biggest highlight of the evening was her singing an unreleased version of Piyu Bole from Parineeta. It was written from the perspective of Vidya Balan's character.
Shreya Ghoshal revealed that writer Swanand Kirkire gifted it to her and asked her to sing it if she ever wanted to.
Shreya Ghoshal spoke about her association with Gulzar. She shared how the writer and lyricist still calls her 'bachua' and is very fond of her.
She mesmerised the audience as she sang the Pushpa 2: The Rule song Angaaron. The singer was seen grooving while crooning the chartbuster track featuring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna.

She expressed her gratitude on stage and said that she feels privileged. She also sang Manwa Lage from Happy New Year and Teri Ore from Singh Is Kinng.
She then decided to sing Soja Re by Swanand Kirkire. Explaining her choice to the audience, she shared, "I felt that these days, there aren't many people who think for themselves. Their minds are always screaming and there is a lot happening in everyone’s minds right now, which is why I chose to sing this song."
Before singing O Rangrez from Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, she spoke highly of composers Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy. "Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy have always made wonderful music, and it's amazing to sing any compositions made by them," she shared.
She also took fan requests and sang Rozana. She has seen tweets and reels of people requesting her to sing songs that they love, and they have always asked her on X as to why she doesn’t croon those songs.
Shreya mesmerised audiences by singing the evergreen song, Lag Ja Gale.
