Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has set a new benchmark at the Indian box office. Directed by Aditya Dhar and led by Ranveer Singh, the film has become the first Hindi film to cross Rs 1,000 crore net collection in India across all versions. And with it, Ranveer became the first Bollywood actor to have achieved the feat that no Hindi film star has before.

The spy action thriller achieved the milestone on its 18th day in theatres, continuing a strong and steady run since release. With this, it joins Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which earned Rs 1,030.40 crore on its 31st day, and Pushpa 2: The Rule minted Rs 1,234.10 core in 16 days.

On Day 18, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has earned around Rs 3.82 crore net across 4,030 shows in India so far.

By the end of Day 17, the film had collected around Rs 985 crore net in India, including over Rs 923 crore from the Hindi version. The Telugu version contributed approximately Rs 39.5 crore, Tamil Rs 17.5 crore, while Kannada and Malayalam together added around Rs 3.25 crore.

Not just that, Dhurandhar 2 also holds several other records (as reported by Sacnilk), among which are:

  • Big opening: One of the biggest openings for a Hindi film
  • Strong first weekend: Collected huge numbers in the first 3 days across India
  • Fastest to Rs 500 crore (Hindi): Reached the mark in just 6 days
  • New Hindi records: First film to cross Rs 850 crore and Rs 900 crore in Hindi
  • Rs 1,000 crore club: First Bollywood film to cross Rs 1,000 crore net (all versions)
  • Global success: Crossed Rs 1,500 crore worldwide
  • Overseas record: Highest-grossing Indian film in North America, crossed $25M
  • Ticket sales: Sold over 1.5 crore tickets on BookMyShow, a first for a Hindi film

What stands out is the film’s performance in Hindi. Dhurandhar 2 has already crossed Rs 900 crore net in Hindi alone, making it the highest-grossing Hindi version to date. The overall total was driven further by dubbed versions, with collections from Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam contributing to the milestone.

With this milestone, Ranveer Singh becomes the first Hindi film star to headline a Rs 1,000 crore net grosser in India. His dual role as Jaskirat and Hamza has been widely discussed, contributing to the film’s strong reception. The film also stars Rakesh Bedi, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and R Madhavan in crucial roles.

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge continues its theatrical run, with the Hindi version expected to cross the Rs 1,000 crore mark individually in the coming days.
