Dhurandhar 2 box office Day 46: Now No. 2 Indian film worldwide, Baahubali 2 falls

Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar: The Revenge has surpassed SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2: The Conclusion to become the second highest-grossing Indian film of all time worldwide. After 46 days in theatres, the spy thriller grossed Rs 1,788.35 crore globally, edging past Baahubali 2's lifetime total of Rs 1788.06 crore.

The film has broken the nine-year-old record of Baahubali 2, which is considered India's first pan-India film.

In India, the Ranveer Singh-starrer grossed Rs 1,362.60 crore in 46 days. Its India nett total stood at Rs 1,138.54 crore, while its overseas gross reached Rs 425.75 crore after it wrapped up its sixth weekend.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge is now the biggest Bollywood film of all time domestically. Internationally, it is still behind Aamir Khan's Dangal, which remains on top with Rs 2,070 crore. Dangal continues to hold an unchallenged lead because of its business in Japan and China.

The film is now close to the end of its run. With new titles such as The Devil Wears Prada 2 and Patriot performing well internationally, the report said it may find it difficult to set many more benchmarks, though it is set to complete 50 days at the box office this week.

Written, directed and produced by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge also stars Rakesh Bedi, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Gaurav Gera, R Madhavan, Danish Pandor and Sara Arjun in important roles. The film was released on March 19.
