MasterChef Pankaj Bhadouria diagnosed with breast cancer, seeks prayers

MasterChef India winner Pankaj Bhadouria has said she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and shared hospital updates online. She asked followers, whom she called extended family, to keep her in their prayers.

MasterChef India Season 1 winner Pankaj Bhadouria has revealed that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The celebrity chef shared the update on social media on May 28 and asked her followers for prayers and support.

Bhadouria posted a photograph from the hospital in which she was seen lying on a bed in a patient gown with medical wires attached to her. Along with the picture, she wrote, "I have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Need your prayers and support folded hands emoji."

She also shared a video from hospital after undergoing multiple medical tests. In the clip, she was seen sitting in a hospital robe with a medical cannula attached to her hand. Text on the video read, "Going for tests and more tests.....not a happy place to be."

In another video, Bhadouria spoke about her diagnosis and gave an update on her condition. She said, "I just wanted to share with you all that I have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Since all of you are like an extended family to me, I wanted to share this with you personally. Right now, I truly need your prayers and support. As they say, prayers work miracles. So please keep me in your prayers."

Bhadouria became widely known after winning the first season of MasterChef India in 2010. She became the country's first MasterChef winner, with the season hosted by actor Akshay Kumar. Before taking part in the cooking reality show, she worked as an English teacher and reportedly left her 16-year teaching career to participate.

After her win, she went on to become a popular celebrity chef and television host. She hosted cooking-based shows including Chef Pankaj Ka Zayka, Kifayati Kitchen, 3 Course with Pankaj, and Rasoi Se - Pankaj Bhadouria Ke Saath. She has also built a large following on YouTube and social media, where she regularly shares recipe videos, cooking tips and other food-related content.

With her latest posts, Bhadouria informed her followers about her breast cancer diagnosis, shared glimpses from hospital during her tests, and asked people who follow her work to keep her in their prayers.
