While the theatrical version is available on Netflix, fans were curious to know when the extended cut of the film would release. Director Venkat Prabhu shared an update regarding the release of the extended cut of GOAT.

On October 3, filmmaker Venkat Prabhu clarified that they have released the theatrical version on Netflix, as opposed to the rumours that claimed otherwise. Sharing the Netflix link, the director wrote, "enjoy the theatrical version at home!! (sic)."

After fans asked him about the extended cut, Venkat Prabhu wrote, "For director's cut lotta VFX and final work required guys!! So will talk to my producers @AGS_production and release it as deleted scenes or an extended cut in da coming future!!! Now enjoy this version!! (sic)."

Ahead of GOAT's OTT release, it was rumoured that the makers will release the director's cut of the film.

GOAT is an espionage spy thriller directed by Venkat Prabhu. The film features Thalapathy Vijay in two roles, with Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Mohan, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Sneha, Laila and Ajmal Ameer in supporting roles.
