In a recent interview, Telugu actor Jr NTR provided an update on the much-anticipated sequel to Devara, revealing that while a few sequences have already been filmed, the team is taking a more considered approach to ensure the second part exceeds expectations.

“We've shot for a few sequences, but now we have this responsibility because part one is doing well. We will take a little more time to etch part two into something bigger and better, and something that excites audiences a bit more. We will be writing it, and I just want my director, Koratala Siva, to take a month off,” Jr NTR said.

The actor added that he encouraged the director to take time away to recharge and return with fresh ideas. "I told him, 'You know what? This is my gift. I said I am going to send you away from Hyderabad. Go for a month and a half, just go, have fun, and don't think about anything. Come back, and then we will start writing for it again.' Let’s just refresh, re-energise, rethink, recalculate, recalibrate, and then we will write Devara 2."

The production of Devara has garnered significant attention, and fans eagerly await the sequel, which promises to deliver an even grander cinematic experience.

So far, it has become the highest-grossing solo opener for both Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, who stars as the lead. It also marks the second-biggest opener of the year and is poised for an even more remarkable weekend.

Devara Part 1 marks Jr NTR's first solo release in six years since 2018's Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava. He was last seen in SS Rajamouli's RRR alongside Ram Charan in 2022.
