A seemingly ordinary morning turned into a viral moment in Chennai. A video of Superstar Rajinikanth taking a brisk walk through Poes Garden grabbed widespread attention on polling day in Tamil Nadu. He later joined voters at a polling booth to cast his vote.
Amid the election buzz on April 23, a video of Thalaivar taking a brisk morning walk in the city surfaced online and quickly went viral. Dressed casually, the 75-year-old actor was seen striding through the streets before turning back to acknowledge the cameraman with a wave. The clip, shared by ANI, showed the actor ahead of casting his vote later in the day.

Rajinikanth subsequently visited the polling booth at Stella Maris School in Chennai, where he cast his vote. In another video released by ANI, the actor was seen holding up his inked finger, marking his participation in the democratic process.

Meanwhile, actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay, who is also contesting, arrived at his polling station amid heavy security and large crowds. He made his way through a sea of supporters who had gathered outside the booth.

In a separate instance, actor and racer Ajith Kumar was among the early voters at the Thiruvanmiyur polling station. His arrival drew an enthusiastic crowd, with fans chanting his name. Police personnel were seen managing the situation as the actor exited the premises, at one point covering his ears to block out the noise.
On the work front, Rajinikanth recently wrapped filming for his upcoming project, Jailer 2. The film has already generated significant trade buzz, reportedly surpassing pre-release benchmarks set by Vijay’s Leo and Rajinikanth’s Coolie, both valued at around Rs 120 crore. The actor had earlier indicated that the film is likely to release in June, although an official date is yet to be announced.
