A demolition drive in Gurugram's DLF area took an unexpected turn when actor Chandrachur Singh stepped out of his home to speak with officials after a bulldozer removed a ramp outside his residence. A video of the exchange has since gone viral, with many praising the calm and courteous manner in which the conversation unfolded.

The Town and Country Planning Department carried out the drive on Friday as part of its action against alleged illegal constructions in the area. Officials demolished several structures they said violated approved building plans and bylaws, including the ramp outside Singh's home.

According to Dainik Bhaskar, the anti-encroachment drive targeted unauthorised structures across the DLF neighbourhood. Officials said the ramp outside the actor's residence had been constructed without the required approvals.

As the demolition was underway, the 57-year-old actor came outside to speak with the team. He asked whether any action would be taken inside his home and pointed out that his father had purchased the property in 1991. He also questioned the removal of the ramp but remained composed throughout the interaction.

Singh further asked whether the demolition was being officially documented and requested the name of the officer leading the operation. District Town Planner Amit Madhaulia introduced himself, following which Singh shook hands with him and other members of the team. The exchange ended on a cordial note.
