Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s reaction after trying his hand at archery during a campaign event in Assam has gone viral on social media.

In the clip, Gandhi is seen on a stage attempting traditional archery, surrounded by party members and onlookers.

Dressed in his trademark white shirt and trousers, along with a traditional Assamese gamcha and cap, he takes aim and releases the arrow.

As the arrow travels farther than expected, Gandhi lets out a silent “Ooooh” in surprise, before breaking into a wide smile and playfully biting his tongue, drawing cheers and applause from those around him.

The light-hearted moment comes at a crucial time, with Assam heading into Assembly elections.

Polling for the 126-member Assembly is scheduled for April 9, with counting of votes set for May 4, making campaign optics and voter outreach central to the contest.
