Akanksha Chamola has unfollowed her estranged husband Gaurav Khanna on Instagram, marking another public development in their ongoing separation. The move comes as attention remains on the couple's split and shortly after she dismissed reports that she had sought Rs 10 crore in alimony.

While Chamola has made fresh changes to her account, Khanna continues to follow her and has kept their pictures on his profile. The latest activity adds to a series of developments since Chamola first spoke publicly about their separation on the premiere of Lock Upp 2, after which both actors discussed different aspects of their marriage and their decision to part ways.

Chamola has now removed photos and reels featuring Khanna from her profile. Weeks after making the separation public, she had earlier also sought help from Meta India and Instagram to change her username, which remains linked to him. Her current Instagram username is "akankshagkhanna".

Her latest Instagram move came soon after she addressed reports about an alleged Rs 10 crore alimony demand in an interview with Mashable India.

Responding to the claim, Akanksha said, "Agar manga hota aur agar mil gaya hota to main yaha baithti. Agar sach me mere pas itne paise hote na to main kab ka ye desh chor kar chali gayi hoti (If I had demanded and received that amount, then I would not have cared to sit here. If I had that much money, I would have left the country by now)."

She also said that if she ever had that kind of money, she would prefer spending it on travelling and seeing different parts of the world.

Akanksha and Gaurav got married in November 2016. Chamola first spoke publicly about their separation on Lock Upp 2, saying, "Me and Gaurav are getting a divorce. We have been living separately for the last one year and it's not been public." She added, "Things are not bad between me and Gaurav. We still talk to each other. We don't think we are compatible as partners because we both see a very different future. And, unfortunately, it's not with each other."

Khanna later entered the show as a guest during its third week. During his appearance, he told Chamola that her announcement had come as a shock to both their families. He also said he was left dealing with both sides of the family after the news came out.

The couple's decision to part ways has also been linked to their different views on starting a family. Chamola had said earlier that she did not feel a maternal instinct, while Khanna had different expectations when it came to having children. She also revealed that she is bisexual and Khanna knew about it.
