Mother-to-be Samantha Ruth Prabhu is soaking in the joys of this new chapter. The actor recently stepped out with partner Raj Nidimoru for actor-director Rahul Ravindran's birthday celebration in Hyderabad. Pictures from the intimate gathering have since gone viral, with fans delighted to catch a glimpse of Samantha's baby bump.
Rahul Ravindran shared the photos from the birthday gathering on social media. Samantha looked elegant in a black co-ord set, while Raj kept it casual in a grey shirt and jeans. In one of the pictures, Samantha's baby bump was subtly visible, quickly catching fans' attention online.
The celebration also marked a reunion between Samantha and one of her oldest friends from the industry. She and Rahul have shared a friendship spanning over 17 years, dating back to their early days when they starred together in the 2010 Tamil film Moscowin Kaveri. Over the years, Rahul and his wife, singer Chinmayi Sripaada, have remained among Samantha's closest friends.
Alongside the bunch of pictures from his birthday bash, Rahul captioned the post, "And that’s how we celebrated Sammy Chitthi’s blockbuster and Appa’s birthday (sic)."
Samantha and Raj are expecting their first child together. Director BV Nandini Reddy, who helmed Maa Inti Bangaaram, confirmed Samantha's pregnancy.
Speaking to Cinema Express, Nandini Reddy said, "Her pregnancy comes at a beautiful time, as our film Maa Inti Bangaaram has become a success."
Meanwhile, Samantha's Maa Inti Bangaram is making waves at the box office. A section of India Today's review of the film read, "The story, written by Raj Nidimoru, is generic at its best. It is predictable and non-inventive, to say the least. However, where Maa Inti Bangaaram stands apart is in its presentation. Samantha embodied Swarna like it’s her second skin. Be it comedy, emotion or action, she aced it and outdid herself."
Maa Inti Bangaram marked Samantha's big screen return after Kushi (2023).
