Actor Aamir Khan is set to marry his partner, Gauri Spratt, at his residence this Sunday. The wedding will be a strictly private affair, attended exclusively by close family and friends.

The couple will formalise their marriage through registration under the Special Marriage Act. With no plans for a grand reception, the legal proceedings will be followed by an intimate celebration at Aamir’s home.

Khan, who recently confirmed that he and Gauri are set to marry on July 5, said they have opted for a simple registered wedding surrounded by close family and friends. The actor, in an interview with Deccan Chronicle, revealed that the couple had no plans for a grand celebration and instead wanted the occasion to be a private affair.

"It will be a very simple registered marriage at home, with just both the families and really close friends. We both want to keep it very basic," the 61-year-old actor said.

Khan first introduced Spratt to the media on his 60th birthday earlier this year, officially confirming their relationship. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting details about the couple's wedding plans.

Earlier, in an interview with Variety India, Khan had confirmed his wedding to Spratt. "Yes, that is true. But now we both feel we are ready to take our relationship to the next level," the actor added.

The actor said that he is already married to Spratt in his heart and this wedding is just like "a natural progression of their partnership."

"I am at peace. Gauri and I are serious about each other, and we are in a very committed space. We are partners, we are together. In my heart, I'm already married to her," he added.

Gauri Spratt, a resident of Bengaluru, who is deeply rooted in the wellness industry, balances her professional life with raising her seven-year-old son, Quinn, from a prior marriage. Her lineage connects her directly to history as the granddaughter of Philip Spratt, the British-born Communist who journeyed to India during the 1920s and subsequently immersed himself in the nation's independence struggle.

Khan was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he shares two children, Junaid and Ira. He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao, and they have a son, Azad.
