- Dhurandhar: Raw & Undekha is streaming on Netflix with no extra scenes
- The only difference is the inclusion of cuss words and their English subtitles
- The runtime remains same as original version at 3 hours 25 minutes
Why promise, when you can't deliver? That's the exact feeling you get when you watch Dhurandhar: Raw & Undekha, which is now streaming on Netflix. The only thing raw and undekha (unseen) in the new version are additional cuss words.
By raw and undekha, you might think that there might be something additional on the table. Something that we didn't see in theatres when the film was released in theatres on December 5. Or weeks later, when the blockbuster film dropped on Netflix. So when I tuned in, my hopes were naturally high. But alas! The reality is far from the promise sold by the makers. "Hamza strikes, raw and lethal," says the tagline of the Ranveer Singh-starrer on Netflix.
What's raw and undekha in Dhurandhar on Netflix?
To begin with, the runtimes of the original and the newer version are the same - 3 hours 25 minutes.
The second thing you immediately notice is that the cuss words, which were either muted or removed in the original, have been retained as it is.
You can also see the English translations of those cuss words as it is in the subtitles. That's it. No additional gore and violence. No additional scenes.
To cross-check, I even played the original and newer versions side by side to see if I was missing out on any peak detail. To my not-so-surprise, there is none. Is it a great move to have the same movie as two titles on Netflix? Yes. Does it live up to the expectations of Raw & Undekha promise? No.
