Amid recent tensions sparked by Devi Sri Prasad’s fiery speech at the pre-release event of Pushpa 2 in Chennai, Mythri Movie Makers producer Ravi Shankar recently cleared the air.

Speaking to the media at the press meet for their upcoming movie Robinhood, Ravi Shankar explained that there was no ill will behind DSP’s remarks, emphasising that the comments were meant humorously and should not be taken too seriously.

At the event, Devi Sri Prasad, who composed the music for Pushpa 2, expressed frustration over allegations that he had failed to deliver the film’s background score on time. Speaking in Tamil, DSP remarked that while there is love between him and the producers, there are also complaints. He humorously shared, “Where there is love, there are complaints as well. But I think you have more complaints about me than love.”

These words raised eyebrows, with some interpreting them as a sign of a rift between him and the producers. However, Ravi Shankar quickly dismissed such claims, clarifying, “There is nothing wrong in what he said. It was said in a humorous way, especially after seeing articles that took his words too seriously, like an emotional movie dialogue.”

Ravi Shankar further stated, “We are all one family. As long as Devi Sri Prasad is here, he will continue to collaborate with us and provide music for our films. Similarly, we will keep working together as long as we make movies.”
