Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 box office Day 1: Kartik Aaryan gets his biggest opener

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 saw a great opening at the box office, minted Rs 35.50 crore despite clash with Singham Again. The film also gave actor Kartik Aaryan his biggest opening day collection.

November 1 was a big day for Bollywood as two much-hyped commercial films clashed on the day. While on one hand was Rohit Shetty's Singham Again marking a new addition to his cop universe, the other was the horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 starring Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit. Both the films have their own fan following, as parts of much-loved franchises. The opening day numbers too saw fireworks at the box office.

According to early estimates, Anees Bazmee-directed Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 opened to a whopping Rs 35.50 crore. It marks Kartik Aaryan's highest opening day number. His earlier best was Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which minted Rs 14.11 crore on Day 1. This is as per predictions made by trade experts.

The audience also showered their love on the film, giving it a massive 75.30 percent occupancy, according to the website Sacnilk. The morning show had about 50 percent occupancy, which rose to 84 percent for night shows.

India Today Digital gave the film 3.5 out of 5 stars. Our review of the film read, "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is a good festival entertainer worth watching. Had the first-half worked better, the film would have elevated itself to a higher ground. And will Manjulika be back for the fourth time ? Well, your guess is only as good as mine!"

The film also features Triptii Dimri and Rajpal Yadav, apart from Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit.
