Actor Ishaan Khatter recently grabbed attention during an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on social media after giving an unusual response to a fan's question about his religion.

The actor was interacting with followers when one user asked, "What is your religion? I'm a little confused."

Instead of giving a direct answer, Ishaan responded with a humorous line: "Jai Jesus, Shri Allah, Holy Spirit Di Fateh."

Ishaan's reply sparked a flood of reactions on social media. Many loved his style, while others were seen discussing it extensively. But the matter didn't end there. Immediately after his humorous response, Ishaan also offered a serious and beautiful message. He wrote, "Nature, kindness, humanity, and creation."

Along with this caption, he also shared a picture of himself, in which he was seen standing amid beautiful mountains and a hot air balloon flying in the sky.

Ishaan comes from a family with diverse cultural and religious roots. His mother, actor Neelima Azeem, comes from a Muslim family, while his father, actor Rajesh Khattar, is Punjabi Hindu.

The actor has often spoken about values such as kindness and humanity, and his latest response appeared to echo that outlook.

Many fans also know Ishaan as the half-brother of actor Shahid Kapoor. The two share the same mother, Neelima Azeem. Shahid is the son of Neelima and actor Pankaj Kapur, while Ishaan is Neelima's son with Rajesh Khattar.

On the work front, Ishaan began his acting journey at a young age before making his debut as a lead actor in acclaimed filmmaker Majid Majidi's Beyond the Clouds (2017). He later featured in films such as Dhadak, Khaali Peeli, Phone Bhoot and Pippa, gradually carving a niche for himself in the industry. His 2025 film Homebound was India's official entry for the Oscars. Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, the film also featured Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor.
