Kalyani Priyadarshan and Pranav Mohanlal have once again been at the centre of dating rumours, with Lissy Priyadarshan calling them false and saying the two share a sibling-like bond. The speculation dates back to their 2022 film Hridayam.

Actors Kalyani Priyadarshan and Pranav Mohanlal have long been at the centre of relationship speculation, but the rumours have once again been firmly denied – this time by Kalyani’s mother, Lissy Priyadarshan.

The chatter, which has circulated on social media for years, intensified after the duo starred together in the 2022 film Hridayam, where they played a married couple. Their on-screen chemistry, along with the close bond shared by their families, has often fuelled assumptions about a real-life relationship.

Addressing the speculation, Lissy responded to a comment on social media while sharing a Vishu greeting. When asked about a possible wedding between Kalyani and Pranav, she replied succinctly, “This is false news,” putting an end to the latest round of rumours.

The renewed buzz has also brought back earlier comments by filmmaker Alleppey Ashraf. In a previous interaction cited by Manorama News, Ashraf had said he directly asked Lissy about the rumours.

She reportedly clarified that while such a match would make both families happy, there is no romantic relationship between the two. She described Kalyani and Pranav as sharing a sibling-like bond since childhood, adding that Kalyani has not been in a relationship so far.

On the work front, Kalyani is set to return to the screen with Lokah Chapter 2, with filming expected to begin in September 2026.
