Thai conservation activist Siranudh 'Psi' Scott, a fourth-generation member of the family behind Thailand's Singha beer empire, has sparked widespread attention after posting an emotional video in which he accused his elder brother of sexually assaulting him for over a decade.

In the tearful video uploaded to his Facebook account on Saturday, the 29-year-old said he no longer wanted to be identified as a "Singha heir", claiming the title masked years of suffering and an ongoing personal battle he had largely endured on his own.

"I don't want anyone to call me a Singha heir. People don't know the truth," he said in the clip, according to The Bangkok Post.

Furthermore, Siranudh alleged that he was sexually abused multiple times during his teenage years. According to him, other members of the family were aware of the accusations because they had heard an audio recording in which his elder brother admitted to the acts.

"Everyone in my family knows because they heard the tape where he admitted it," he said.

He also claimed that despite repeatedly seeking support from relatives and senior members of the family, no meaningful action was taken.

The activist also revealed that he is currently embroiled in a legal dispute with his mother over inheritance assets reportedly left to him by his late grandfather, Chamnong Bhirombhakdi, the former chairman of Singha Corp.

"This year, my mother filed a lawsuit against me to claim property my grandfather gave me," he said in the video.

Siranudh said he had earlier been labelled 'ungrateful' after speaking publicly about alleged mistreatment. He claimed that when he approached senior family members for help, he was instead urged to apologise to his mother.

"When I asked senior members of the family for help, they told me to apologise to my mother," he said.

Breaking down during the video, he said he could no longer continue living in what he described as a family environment lacking empathy and respect for his experiences.

"I don't know what to do. I know I cannot live like this. I cannot stay with a family or a clan that does not value my humanity or understand my pain. I'm sorry for causing everyone stress, but I cannot live with people like this," he added through tears.

Siranudh, whose father is Scottish, is popularly known as 'Merman' for his long-distance swimming feats and environmental advocacy. He founded Sea You Strong, a volunteer-led initiative focused on marine conservation and environmental education.

Meanwhile, Sunit, the elder brother of Siranudh, has denied the allegations levelled against him, describing them as false. In a video shared on the Facebook account of his wife, actress Lapassalan Jiravechsoontornkul, Sunit said the incidents mentioned by Siranudh never took place.
