Orry says Sara Ali Khan allegedly pushed girl off chair, but he was blamed

Orry has spilled a fresh Sara Ali Khan party tale, claiming she allegedly pushed a girl off a chair - only for him to take the blame. The cheeky anecdote has stirred fresh chatter around their messy fallout, which Orry still links to his unresolved hurt involving Amrita Singh.

In Short

  • He said the girl confronted him because Sara was the bigger star
  • A mutual friend later stepped in to broker peace after the party
  • Orry arrived for the patch-up wearing a cape, turban and sunglasses

Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, has served up another Sara Ali Khan anecdote, and this one has all the ingredients of a proper Bollywood party story - a chair, a confrontation and, naturally, a little fashion drama. Recalling a night out with Sara, social media personality Orry claimed she once allegedly pushed a girl off a chair so the two of them could sit, only for the fallout to land on him instead.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Orry called it a “really funny” Sara Ali Khan story, insisting that she was the one who “created the story”. According to him, the two were at a party looking for somewhere to sit when they spotted a girl occupying a chair. Orry claimed Sara simply pushed the girl off it, after which they sat down.

But, the real drama began afterwards. Orry said the girl eventually picked a fight with him rather than Sara. His explanation was simple: Sara was “very famous at the time”, while he was not. So, in his telling of the story, he ended up taking the heat for something he had not actually done.

“I’m going through what I didn’t even do,” he recalled, adding that he had not pushed the girl off the chair in the first place.

And because this is Orry we are talking about, the attempted peace-making did not exactly happen quietly. He said a mutual friend tried to sort things out between him and the girl. When Orry went to meet her, he decided to arrive in full costume - complete with a cape, a fashion turban and kitten sunglasses. Apparently, the outfit did the trick.

Orry claimed that when the girl saw him arrive dressed in all his dramatic glory, she became so scared that she backed down. According to him, she told him, “It’s fine that you pushed me off the chair. I know it was a mistake.” His response? “It wasn’t, but thank you.”

What is the beef between Orry and Sara Ali Khan?

The anecdote is particularly interesting now because it comes months after his very public fallout with Sara. The two were once close friends, and their equation had appeared to be one of those unshakeable Bollywood friendships. But that friendship has since turned into a messy social media saga, complete with unfollows, cryptic posts and pointed remarks.

The fallout became impossible to ignore in January 2026. Orry had shared an Instagram Reel referring to “Sara”, “Amrita” and “Palak” as "3 worst names". Many online users interpreted the names as references to Sara Ali Khan, her mother Amrita Singh and Palak Tiwari. The post was later deleted. Soon after, Sara and her brother Ibrahim Ali Khan unfollowed Orry on Instagram. Orry, however, claimed he had unfollowed them “long ago” and that they had only caught up later.

Then came another pointed exchange that sent the gossip mills into overdrive. When a user asked Orry what the bra on his outfit was holding together, he replied with a jab about Sara’s film hits. The comment quickly went viral, with many people reading it as a direct dig at the actor and her career.

Orry on his 'darkest phase' involving Amrita Singh

Orry has also spoken about a deeper reason behind his distance from Sara and her family. In another Pinkvilla interview, he went back to an incident from 2021 involving Sara’s mother, actor Amrita Singh. Orry described that period as one of the darkest phases of his life and said it had “put [him] through hell”. He claimed the experience traumatised him but ultimately made him stronger.

However, Orry has never publicly revealed exactly what happened between him and Amrita.

When asked about the incident, he chose not to share the details, saying only, “Bad things happen to bad people.” He later explained that the experience changed the way he dealt with criticism and public scrutiny.

That episode has also become an important part of the story behind his fallout with Sara. Orry has previously indicated that being close to Sara meant continuing to remain connected to her family, something he was no longer comfortable with after what he says happened in 2021.

And so, what was once a friendship built around college days, parties and years of being part of the same social circle has now become a very different story.

As things stand, there has been no public reconciliation between the two. Orry continues to speak about the past from his side, while Sara has largely stayed away from discussing the matter publicly.

Orry is currently a participant on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15.
