Amaran box office Day 9: Sivakarthikeyan film earns Rs 122 crore domestically

Tamil war film Amaran has been performing consistently at the ticket counter. According to industry tracking site Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 7.40 crore on the ninth day of its release, taking its total collection to an impressive Rs 122.25 crore net at the domestic box office.
Amaran's worldwide collection currently stands at Rs 197.5 crore.
It had an impressive 37.36 per cent Tamil occupancy on November 8.
Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, is a biopic on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan. The film is based on Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh's book series, India's Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes. One of the chapters in the three-part book is about Mukund and his mission.
The film has been bankrolled by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India. Apart from Sivakarthikeyan, the film also stars Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, and Rahul Bose in significant parts.
Amaran is currently running successfully in cinemas.
