  • Rohit Shetty's films generally have a high repeat value on TV
  • The film is clashing with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 this Diwali

Rohit Shetty's Singham Again just got bigger. The film, starring Ajay Devgn in the lead, might have bagged a massive non-theatrical deal. At least that's what the latest media report suggests. The action-drama, which is the fifth film in Shetty's cop-universe, has already earned a whopping Rs 200 crore weeks before its release.

As per a report published in Pinkvilla, Rohit Shetty and Jio Studios have sold the combined satellite, digital and music rights of Singham Again for Rs 200 crore. The report quoted a source close to the production claiming that Rohit Shetty's films are always a favourite on TV and have got a big repeat value.

The source was quoted as saying, "It's the biggest non-theatrical deal for Ajay Devgn, as also Rohit Shetty. While Rohit Shetty films have always secured big monies from the satellite players owing to tremendous demand from the audience, Singham Again has been paid premium prices by the digital players too. And why not? The film actually has the biggest ensemble set-up for a feature film in the last few decades."

Singham Again is being considered the first film in the cop-universe which will give a glimpse of all its 'avengers'. The film is mounted on a huge scale and Shetty has managed to pull-off a casting coup this time. Apart from Ajay and Kareena Kapoor Khan, it also features Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff as cops. Jackie Shroff and Arjun Kapoor play the baddies, while Ashutosh Rana, Dayanand Shetty and Shweta Tiwari are expected to be seen in supporting roles. It will see an all-India release by PVRInox Pictures.

This definitely gives an edge to the film over Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The two films are clashing at the box office this Diwali. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the horror-comedy stars Kartik Aaryan, Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan and Triptii Dimri in important roles. Both films will be hitting the screens on November 1.
