Superstar Shah Rukh Khan left fans laughing during an event in Mangaluru after responding to a woman's confession that she loved him more than her husband. The actor's playful comeback quickly went viral, before he followed it up with a heartfelt message for the fan and her family.

Shah Rukh attended an event hosted by a real estate group in Mangaluru, Karnataka, on Thursday. During the event, he performed to some of his popular songs and interacted with members of the audience.

In one of the videos from the event that has surfaced online, a female fan tells the superstar that she loves him more than her husband.

Shah Rukh responded with a smile and a laugh, saying, “Yeh sab akele mein batana chahiye na (You could have told this to me in private).”

He then turned serious and acknowledged the fan's affection.

“I know it is a matter of speech and I understand your feelings, and I am sure your husband does too. I love you all. I love your husband. I love your family. Thank you so much," he said.

The light-hearted exchange drew loud cheers from the audience, with many praising the actor's humour and graceful response.

On the work front, Shah Rukh is currently filming King, his upcoming action entertainer. The film will mark the theatrical debut of his daughter, Suhana Khan, after her acting debut in The Archies.

Directed by Siddharth Anand and co-written by Sujoy Ghosh, King also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, Raghav Juyal and Jaideep Ahlawat in key roles. The film is slated for a Christmas 2026 release.

Shah Rukh was last seen in a cameo appearance in his son Aryan Khan's directorial debut series, The Ba***ds of Bollywood.
