FOUR TRAINS GET NEW STATION HALTS

Under the latest decision, Indian Railways has approved stoppages for the following trains:

  • 54085/54086 Delhi–Satrod Passenger at Patuwas Meharana, Haryana
  • 14619/14620 Agartala–Ferozpur Express at Hansi, Haryana
  • 14717/14718 Bikaner–Haridwar Express at Hansi, Haryana
  • 12981/12982 Jaipur–Asarva Express at Bijainagar, Rajasthan

The approval follows an operational assessment and review of passenger demand at these stations.

PATUWAS MEHARANA TO GET BETTER DAILY CONNECTIVITY

Residents of Patuwas Meharana in Haryana will soon enjoy easier access to rail services with the addition of the Delhi–Satrod Passenger train stoppage.

Previously, passengers often depended on nearby stations such as Jharili and Charkhi Dadri to catch this train. The new halt is expected to save travel time, reduce inconvenience, and provide a smoother commuting experience for students, office-goers, and local residents.

The move will also strengthen connectivity on the Rewari–Bhiwani rail section and improve first-mile and last-mile travel options.

HANSI EMERGES AS AN EVEN STRONGER RAIL HUB

Hansi, already an important railway station in Haryana, will benefit from two additional long-distance train stoppages.

The Agartala–Ferozpur Express and the Bikaner–Haridwar Express will now halt at Hansi, giving passengers direct access to routes connecting different parts of India.

Earlier, travellers often had to reach Bhiwani City or Hisar to board these trains. With the new stoppages, passengers from Hansi and nearby towns can enjoy greater convenience and more travel choices without making extra road journeys.

BIJAINAGAR PASSENGERS GET DIRECT ACCESS TO KEY ROUTE

Passengers travelling from Bijainagar in Rajasthan will now have access to the Jaipur–Asarva Express, an important service connecting Rajasthan and Gujarat.

Until now, passengers had to depend on stations such as Nasirabad or Bhilwara to board the train. The new halt is expected to benefit students, traders, business travellers, and tourists by offering a direct and convenient travel option closer to home.

The decision further strengthens Bijainagar's position as an important station on the Ajmer–Chanderiya route.

A STEP TOWARDS MORE ACCESSIBLE RAIL TRAVEL

The latest approvals highlight Indian Railways' continued focus on passenger-friendly initiatives. By introducing train stoppages at locations with growing demand, the national transporter is making rail travel more accessible and efficient.

Such measures not only improve convenience for existing passengers but also encourage greater use of railways by reducing travel barriers and enhancing connectivity across regions.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR PASSENGERS

For many travellers, the new stoppages mean shorter journeys to stations, reduced travel costs, and easier access to long-distance trains. Whether it is a student travelling for education, a trader heading to a business destination, or a family planning a trip, the additional halts are expected to make railway travel smoother and more convenient.

As Indian Railways continues to expand passenger-focused services, such connectivity upgrades are likely to play an important role in improving the overall travel experience across the country.
