Director Homi Adajania's Cocktail 2 earned over Rs 99 crore at the Indian box office on Monday. The romantic drama has joined the league of Shahid Kapoor's films that have crossed Rs 100 crore mark.

Director Homi Adajania's Cocktail 2, featuring actors Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon, crossed Rs 99 crore at the box office on Monday. The film has joined the league of Shahid's previous films – Padmaavat (2018), Kabir Singh (2019), Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (2024) and Cocktail 2 (2026) which crossed Rs 100 crore mark.

Cocktail 2 is currently running across 733 shows in India. Its total India gross stands at Rs 99.31 crore, while its India nett collection has reached Rs 83.20 crore so far, as reported by Sacnilk. The romantic drama stayed steady despite the release of Akshay Kumar's comedy drama Welcome To The Jungle, which has collected Rs 76.50 crore gross and Rs 63.75 crore nett in India so far.

Opening weekend triumph

The film opened on a strong note, collecting Rs 13.50 crore on Friday, followed by Rs 16.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 17.75 crore on Sunday. Its opening weekend total crossed Rs 47 crore, setting up expectations of a sustained run in cinemas.

Collections, however, began to fall from Monday. The film earned Rs 6.75 crore each on Monday and Tuesday, followed by Rs 5.25 crore on Wednesday and Rs 4.25 crore on Thursday. It ended its first week with a total nett collection of Rs 70.50 crore.

The second week has shown little improvement. After collecting Rs 4 crore on its second Friday, the film earned Rs 4.25 crore on Saturday, showing only limited growth. However, on its second Sunday, Cocktail 2 witnessed a rise in its collection as it earned Rs 4.40 crore net.

Day-wise India nett collection

Shahid's period drama Padmaavat, grossed Rs 585 crore while his 2019 love story Kabir Singh had a Rs 379 crore gross, as reported by Sacnilk. His 2024 romantic-comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, collected Rs 140.80 core gross (Domestic net stood at Rs 85.16 crore).
