Bihar students dance to Bhojpuri song inside classroom, lyrics land school in trouble

A group of schoolchildren in Bihar's Dedhgaon turned their smart classroom into a dance floor, but the Bhojpuri song they chose has landed the school in trouble. The video showed 14 students dancing and singing along to questionable lyrics, prompting the Rohtas district administration to order an inquiry.

The video, which was recorded on Tuesday, showed 14 children inside the smart classroom of Jagdayal Singh Plus-2 High School, under the Davath block.

The children were seen dancing and singing along to a Bhojpuri song by singer Khesari Lal Yadav.

The clip was recorded inside the school's smart classroom, a facility set up by the education department as part of efforts to introduce students to digital technology and provide them with opportunities to develop their skills.

Following the video's circulation, education department officials directed school principal Lal Bahadur Singh Yadav to conduct an immediate inquiry and submit a report on the incident.

Rohtas District Magistrate Deepak Kumar said an inquiry team had been constituted after the matter came to light. He said action would be taken against the person responsible for the classroom, while students involved in the incident would also face action in accordance with education policy guidelines.

The incident has raised questions about how the smart classroom was being used and the supervision of students inside the facility.
