Actor Ahaan Panday has said he would like to work with director Aryan Khan in the future. He described the idea of their collaboration as something rooted in their long personal bond rather than their recent debuts. Ahaan made his acting debut with Saiyaara, while Aryan stepped into direction with The Ba***ds of Bollywood.

In a conversation with Filmfare, Ahaan was asked if he and Aryan could become a strong director-actor pair.

‘It has to come from a real bond’

To which, he said he was open to it and made it clear that any such collaboration would not be for "anything superficial."

"Yeah, in the future, why not? Not for anything superficial, not because of Bads...(The Ba***ds of Bollywood) or Saiyaara, but because of a real bond," the 28-year-old actor said.

Explaining that bond, Ahaan said growing up with someone creates a different kind of understanding. He recalled a time when Aryan would return from his school and come straight to his house before even meeting his own parents.

"His parents would call me asking why he was like that. When you share that kind of history, there’s so much you understand about each other, so much to explore as performers," he continued.

The Saiyaara star concluded that working together would not feel like work and is something he would genuinely look forward to.

What’s next for Ahaan and Aryan

On the work front, Ahaan is currently working on an action-entertainer directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. He is also set to reunite with his Saiyaara co-star Aneet Padda for Mohit Suri's next film.

The new project brings back the team behind the 2025 romantic drama and is expected to go on floors later this year. Backed by Yash Raj Films, the untitled film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release in 2027. Saiyaara was a major commercial success and earned Rs 580 crore globally. Ahaan and Aneet's pairing was widely appreciated.

Aryan, meanwhile, made his directorial debut with The Ba***ds of Bollywood last year. He has not announced his next project yet.
