Jr NTR successfully underwent shoulder surgery at KIMS Hospitals in Hyderabad, following an injury he sustained in July. The procedure was completed on Tuesday, with doctors saying the actor is doing well and will now begin a structured rehabilitation programme under medical supervision.

In an official health bulletin issued after the surgery, the hospital said the procedure was carried out following a detailed medical evaluation and consultations with a team of specialists. Doctors determined that arthroscopic surgery would support his recovery and help him return to his regular activities.

“The surgery was completely successful and NTR is doing fine. He will now begin a structured rehabilitation programme under medical supervision. Doctors anticipate that NTR can return to his normal self within a two to three-month timeframe,” the medical team said.

NTR will now focus on rehabilitation and a gradual return to his routine as doctors monitor his progress. His recovery is expected to take two to three months, according to the hospital.

The actor's team had announced earlier this week, that he would undergo surgery at KIMS Hospitals following a medical evaluation of the shoulder injury he sustained last month. The team had said the procedure was part of his ongoing treatment and that doctors would monitor him during his recovery.

The statement also thanked NTR's fans, well-wishers and the media for their concern, while requesting privacy for the actor during the procedure and his recovery. It added that further updates would be shared following the surgery.

Jr NTR's upcoming projects

On the work front, NTR was last seen in Telugu cinema in Koratala Siva's Devara: Part 1 (2024), which also starred Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Prakash Raj. He made his Hindi film debut with Ayan Mukerji's War 2 (2025), alongside Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani and Anil Kapoor.

The actor is currently working on Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel. The film is scheduled for release in 2027, with its first look unveiled on May 19, ahead of NTR's birthday.
