Drishyam 3 opens big
The reaction comes after Drishyam 3 recorded a career-best opening for Ajay. According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 74 crore gross in India on its first day, putting it ahead of the opening-day figures of several recent blockbusters.
It also crossed the first-day collection of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, which opened to Rs 57 crore. The film’s reported opening-day haul is also higher than the Rs 30 crore recorded by Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar and the Rs 63 crore earned by Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal.
Drishyam 3 collected around Rs 92 crore worldwide on its opening day. Its release also coincided with the Gandhi Jayanti holiday, giving the film an extended festive weekend to build on its initial momentum.
