Mirzapur The Movie box office Day 4: Film clears Monday, hits Rs 153 crore globally

Mirzapur: The Movie stayed steady on Monday and crossed the Rs 100 crore nett mark in India. The run underlines the pull of the franchise, which outperformed pre-release trade estimates.

Mirzapur: The Movie is proving to be unstoppable at the box office. The film’s impressive run is a testament to the immense popularity that the show and its characters have built over the years. After a bumper opening and a strong weekend, the film faced the crucial Monday test and passed it with flying colours, crossing the Rs 100 crore mark in India.

For a film without a traditional superstar at its centre, the numbers so far have been remarkable. Ahead of its release, most trade experts estimated an opening of Rs 18-20 crore for the film. However, Mirzapur: The Movie defied expectations and opened at 25.75 crore. The collection even surpassed hits such as Saiyaara (22 crore) and Awarapan 2 (21.50 crore).

On Saturday, Mirzapur: The Movie continued its dominance, collecting Rs 32 crore. Sunday was even bigger, with the film earning Rs 36 crore. On Monday, as expected, the film witnessed a dip due to the weekday factor. However, it remained steady and collected a nett Rs 15.50 crore across 10,570 shows.

With this, Mirzapur: The Movie has officially crossed the Rs 100 crore nett mark in India. The film’s total India net collection now stands at Rs 109.25 crore, while its total India gross collection has reached Rs 130.97 crore.

Mirzapur: The Movie was released in Hindi and a Telugu dub, with the bulk of its earnings coming from the original Hindi version.

Presented by Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment, Mirzapur: The Movie is directed by Gurmeet Singh, written by Puneet Krishna, and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment. The film is co-produced by Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani.

Apart from Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi and Divyenndu, the film introduces Jitendra Kumar, who takes over from Vikrant Massey as Bablu Pandit. Ravi Kishan stars as a new face, while Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, Sheeba Chadha, Rajesh Tailang, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Shekhar Gaur and Shweta Tripathi reprise their roles from the show.
