Maye Musk has reacted to rumours surrounding a viral picture of her son, billionaire Elon Musk, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, in a post on X.

The photograph, featuring Musk and Meloni, showed both of them seated at a table during an awards ceremony in a New York hotel.

While the image went viral on social media, journalist Dr Simon Goddek shared it and said, “We all know what happened next”.

Maye Musk was quick enough to respond to Dr Goddek as she said, “I went back to the hotel with Elon" in her post featuring a monocle emoji.

Musk, meanwhile, also addressed dating rumours with Meloni in a post earlier this week. A fan club of the Tesla CEO had shared the picture saying, “Do you think they’ll date,” to which Musk clarified, “We are not dating”.

The rumours regarding Elon Musk and Giorgia Meloni gained momentum after the Tesla boss praised the Italian Prime Minister at the awards ceremony in New York, calling her “someone who is authentic, honest, truthful”.
