Vijay’s first electoral outing has proved significant. After launching TVK, the actor contested the 2026 Assembly elections across most constituencies in Tamil Nadu. The results have been decisive, with the party emerging as the single largest force, winning 108 seats in its debut election.
Vijay’s transition into politics has been gradual. Known for his mass appeal and “Thalapathy” image, he has often engaged with social themes through his films.
