Jennifer Winget-William's Goa wedding is all things fun, Karan Wahi shares glimpses

Jennifer Winget and William Ishmael celebrated their Goa wedding gathering with friends from television and films. Videos and posts from the evening linked their intimate UK ceremony to a larger, festive reunion.

After their UK wedding, actor Jennifer Winget and her husband William Ishmael took their wedding celebrations to Goa, and this time there was no shortage of friends, dancing and familiar faces. Longtime friend and co-actor Karan Wahi gave fans a glimpse of the celebration on Sunday, sharing pictures and videos from the evening, including one of the newly-weds dancing together in their traditional outfits.

The celebration brought together several of Jennifer’s closest friends from the industry. Karan was there, along with Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh, Mandira Bedi, Shabir Ahluwalia, Harleen Sethi, Ashish Chowdhury and others.

From the videos doing the rounds online, it looked far more like a big, relaxed get-together with friends than a formal wedding reception.

Karan, who has been friends with Jennifer for years, had a particularly sweet message for the newlyweds. “Dearest Jen & Will, to the new chapter of your life. The happiness and peace it gives me to see JEN is unparalleled. I pray that you’re always blessed and loved. Heart is so FULL. We LOVE U Jenno (sic),” he wrote.

In another video, Karan could be heard joking about Jennifer’s love story, saying, “A typical love story eventually culminating, a typical Hindi Bollywood heroine, that’s our Jennifer.”

Jennifer certainly looked every bit the bride at the Goa celebration. She wore a deep purple embroidered sweetheart-neckline blouse with a pink bandhani lehenga and matching dupatta. She paired the outfit with polki jewellery and a maang tikka, keeping her hair in soft waves. William complemented her in an ice-blue kurta set.

The evening also had plenty of desi fun. One video showed Jennifer teaching William some dance moves as the two danced together. In another, she shared a warm hug with Genelia.

Ashish Chowdhry joined in on the celebrations and shared a group picture with a playful caption: “Jenny is 'Will'ing! And we are thrilling!”

Karan’s presence was particularly special given his long friendship with Jennifer. The two worked together on Dill Mill Gayye and later reunited on Raisinghani vs Raisinghani. Their friendship has continued well beyond their time on screen, making his presence at her wedding celebrations all the more fitting.

Riteish and Genelia, meanwhile, joined the gathering alongside Mandira and Shabir, turning the Goa evening into a reunion of sorts for Jennifer’s industry friends.

The Goa party came a couple of months after Jennifer and William got married in an intimate ceremony in West Wales, UK, on July 16. The couple had kept that celebration private, with Jennifer later sharing a video montage that gave fans a peek at their church wedding, vows and wedding photoshoot.

William is a finance professional based in Singapore and has worked as Director of Business Development and Trading at MHC Digital Group since 2022, according to his LinkedIn profile. Jennifer was previously married to actor Karan Singh Grover. The two separated in November 2016.
